Prof. ZHOU Shaoxiong, Chairman of the Board and President of Advanced Energy Materials Research Institute. Currently, he is academician of Asian Pacific Academy of Materials(APAM), Chief Scientist of Advanced Technology & Materials Co., Ltd.(a state-owned listed company in Beijing), Member of National Advanced Materials Industry Development Experts Consulting Committee, Member of National Nano-technology Guiding & Coordinating Commission, Director of National Amorphous and Nano-crystalline Engineering Center, Executive Vice Chairman of National Innovation Strategic Alliance for Amorphous Energy-saving Materials Industry and Technology, Vice Chairman of Asian Union of Magnetics Societies (AUMS) and Vice Chairman of Chinese Materials Research Society (CMRS).

Received his PhD from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) Norway in 1993, he has been engaging in the R&D and industrialization in the fields of magnetic materials and new energy materials over 40 years, especially in the R&D and engineering of amorphous and nano-crystalline materials, key breakthroughs at the international advanced level have been achieved. He is the main author of over 100 publications and main inventor of over 60 patents and was awarded by National Prizes for Progress in Science and Technology.
